Our Freeze Dried Pineapple Chunks are produced when moisture is removed from fresh garden green beans using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3% moisture remains in the Freeze Dried Pineapple Chunks at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90%, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh pinapple taste, natural color, and texture of the fresh pinapple in it's freeze dried state. Each #10 Can contains 12 ounces of Freeze Dried Pineapple Chunks.

Freeze Dried Pineapple can replace Fresh Prepared Pineapple at a rate of 7 to 1.

That means each can of our Freeze Dried Pineapple Chunks is the equivalent of over 5 pounds of Fresh Pineapple.

Our pineapple is naturally delicious, with no added sugar. Great for adding some flavor and color to your breakfast, in recipes that call for fruit, mixed into cottage cheese, or for a healthy snack right out of the can.

When re-hydrated with water the product will maintain the texture and shape of fresh product, with no shrinking or shriveling. Freeze Dried products are less expensive than wet pack food because you are not paying for all the water.

Shelf Life:  Freeze Dried Pineapple Chunks may be stored in the sealed #10 can (with included oxygen absorber packet) for 10 to 15 years (longer in cold storage) under ideal storage conditions (a cool, dry place).
